Road trip

I recently had a short trip to Singapore :) As being a poor student I couldn't afford to fly down so my other alternative was to take the bus. I took bus Konsortium (sounds like a character from TRON :D) which wasn't that bad. Comfy seats with tv :3 They stopped every few hours for people that had to go to the restroom. The only thing I didn't like was the long bus ride. Guess what, 11 hours just to reach Singapore T.T That's almost 24 hours to and fro!

First night there I met up with my darling :) She took me to eat near Bugis junction. We had dinner at MOS burger and played a round of DDR X3. I was fascinated by almost everything o________o expecially the MRT. Gosh they need one of those in Penang.

Second day, Kara took me to SUTD with the help of google map. Thank you darling :D the campus is nice but it was very quiet. The semester hasn't started yet. We went to Takashimaya afterwards to look at the Japanese book shop "Kinokuniya" :) There were literally so many things I wanted to buy!

Had dinner with Kara's friends from Raffles :) and took the night bus back to Penang. Good trip but I wish I had more money for shopping. Its hard to resist temptation when everything around you is so want-able :D I miss my darling so much! Can't wait to see her soon ^^

Lion dance

Chinese new year isn't complete without a traditional lion dance :D dance more and bring us more luck!

Apparently it's good luck to touch the lion while they dance, right? *asks all the true Chinese out there* (for those who do not know, I'm half Chinese) I secretly poked the lions belly as it walked away :) hehe

NGOMS. I didn't expect it to zoom pass me.

The oranges on the floor describe some Chinese characters. Again, I'm gnna ask the true Chinese people out there for help. I don't remember learning those in my mandarin class! Anyways, we gotta admire their orange peeling skills.. 10 oranges peeled in 2 minutes :D hahaha.

This is my belated Chinese New Year post :) GONG XI FA CHAI to all of my Chinese friends / relatives / teachers out there! This year is the year of the mighty dragon :D rawrrr. Dragons are the free spirits of the zodiac. An extroverted bundle of energy, gifted and utterly irrepressible, everything dragons do is on a grand scale- big ideas, ornate gestures, extreme ambitions. Cool eh? d: so guys remember to be BIG this year. 2012 is everything about being BIG.

I think this is the perfect shirt to wear for this cny. Dragon + red!

But chrome is so much nicer nowadays.
It has much better security for us users :)

My blog history

I've been blogging since April 2009. It has been almost 3 years since I've had this blog :') I am planning to continue blogging in the future too. It's a place for me to share a part of my life. Don't question my lack of blog posts though x) I was very busy with college last year! Oh and.. I've deleted about 100 posts from early 2009. I had a different blog format before so it doesn't go well with my new format *sobs* So my NEW goal is to post at least 200 posts this year (100 to make up for those that I've deleted)

Helloooo there :) How have you been doing? Hope you guys are having a lovely new year. In Japan, you get a white packet with money inside just like ang paus during Chinese new year. Unfortunately for me all of my relatives are in Japan so I will not be getting any white packets x) although I got some extra food money from my parents. Yay

On this post I would like to wish two important people good luck. Those two people are my dad and kikikaze. My dad is going back to Japan for a major operation. It's just that my dad is the healthiest person I've ever seen. So I was quite shocked when I heard about his body condition. Anyhow, he told me not to worry and focus on my dreams so I will do as he says. See you in a few months dad! Gambatte!

Secondly, my dearest girlfriend :) Singapore is somewhere you've never lived before, somewhere you have not so many friends (YET :D ) but it is also a place with one of the best education system. So study hard and whenever you feel home sick just read the messages in the jar okay? I will be visiting you very soon ^^
